WELCOME TO THE WILDHEART
weekend retreat
No matter what influences a woman to end a pregnancy, the physical, psychological, and spiritual side effects are real and not always anticipated. Feelings of guilt, shame, and grief become a heavy burden, and many women feel that they will never be free, that no one understands, that God will never forgive them.
But there is hope.
With an understanding spirit and a gentle hand, this retreat and study guides hurting women to bring their emotional scars "out of the dark past and into His holy light" where true and lasting healing can take place. Together we will delve into the Scriptures to receive help with issues such as relief, denial, anger, forgiveness, depression, letting go, and acceptance.
For every woman yearning for the peace of God's forgiveness, this study can be the first step to healing and wholeness.

The Wild Heart Ministry team consists of two loving and nonjudgmental women, one of whom has personal experience with abortion and found healing and peace. Our facilitators have been thoroughly trained and volunteer their time freely, because they understand how important it is to be freed from the shame, anger, and regret that are so often felt after an abortion.
-
We limit our retreats to 6 participants to ensure that our group is intimate and that there is enough time for all to share. In addition to those attending, there will be 2 group facilitators, and volunteers that will come and go throughout the day.
-
The weekend retreat will include Bible study, discussions about grief, forgiveness, and healing, as well as guidance on overcoming shame and denial.

Wild Heart Ministries serves any post-abortive woman regardless of her faith background. We use a bible study titled Forgiven and Set Free. There will be deep discussion about God and Jesus. As well, you will be required to refer to the Bible in order to complete your study.
Hundreds of women have experienced deep healing and release from emotional burdens, particularly related to past trauma and significant mistakes, through the Forgiven and Set Free study. This study focuses on a common theme of the transformative power of letting go of guilt and shame to find peace and freedom through Christ; this is frequently used in the context of post-abortion recovery groups where women share their experiences of finding healing through forgiveness. -
Traumatic events, like abortion, are often aggravated by carefully guarding the experience as a secret and not allowing any toxic and shameful feelings to surface or have a voice. Healing for victims of trauma can happen in a safe environment, where the people in a group can reconstruct their traumatic story and restore the connection between themselves and the community. A group context is very cathartic because others who "have been there" can provide validation of symptoms and add a supportive, healing element to the process.
